y story is of Hawaii. Born and raised in Honolulu, I’ve had music in my blood for as long as I can recall growing up in the sleepy sugar town of 1960s Wahiawa on Oahu.

In my childhood, I struggled with dyslexia. Those challenges in my formative years strengthened my skills to adapt and drive to succeed. Both of my parents were members of the Chidori Orchestra and that passion for music transcended their lives to mine. Yet, singing was my secret until a classmate overheard me in the shower after football practice. I wrote my first song when I picked up a ukulele for the first time. I was hooked. I would eventually form the band Edgewater that played alternative rock music and once owned a night club.

I produced my first musical in my 50s called A Timeless Princess in 2019 serving as writer and composer.

My business ventures have also been an expression of my creative ambitions and love for people.

As an entrepreneur and CEO, my business Video Vend became Hawaii’s largest coin-operated amusement company. I sold the company in 2005 to concentrate on building a network of ATM machines in Hawaii and the continent. Today, ATM Pacific is the largest independent ATM company in Hawaii with more than 500 locations.
